Im back!!!!!

i know it has been months since I have been on here so i decided it was time for a little update on the fam.

Emma is doing great. she is just a wild child that is only calm at bedtime. She likes to climb on everything including the poor cats at time. Luckily she has yet to step on her sister. She has really started to love baby dolls like her cousin, Julie. She has a baby doll in one hand and a purse in the other. So much for our little tomboy. She started speech last thursday and so far its going well. our goal is for her to be able to say two word sentences by next year and 10 words by December. I know once she does start she won't stop.

Mikayla is still my laid back child. In fact all the mothers at our playgroup have said they have never once heard Mikayla cry. the only time she cries is when she is hungry and when she gets shots at the doctor. she has not gotten any teeth at this point so i have a feeling she will be screaming once they come in. she is moving around now and sitting up. she is babbling constantly. I think she wants to make sure you know she is there b/c if you start talking she will make noise louder than you. its so funny.

As for Dale and myself we are doing great. they have cut back their hours at work during the summer to 5pm so that is very nice. we can actually eat together as a family. I just need to remember in another month they will go back to their old schedules. grrr. As for me I am just trying to make my back feel better which i thought it was all the way better and then it came back stronger now it feels like knives up and down my spine. the pain goes down my legs and my arms. my hands feel like i have arthritus so im not having a lot of fun. It has yet to stop me from enjoying time with the kids. While its not snowing out we spend as much time as we can outside.

I forgot to mention what emma did today. we went to the fair to visit daddy and ride some rides and go to the petting zoo. while we were at the petting area i let her rub a cow. she really liked her b/c she gave the cow a hug and then stuck her finger up the cows nose. yes up the cows nose. yuck. immediately we went to the bathroom and washed her hands. that is my daughter not afraid to get her hands dirty.

im a working girl again

its not much or anything but I definitely enjoy the extra money. I also have fun. I love to talk and that is what they want you to do at this job to make the customers feel comfortable. so im doing great so far. if anyone thinks being a cashier is an easy job think again. its actually pretty difficult and if you press the wrong button it could take money from the store and put it in the persons account. But I feel i am doing good at the moment.
Dale and the girls have been having fun as well. He has been mister mom while I am working and the girls seem to love it. Unfortunately we haven't had good weather here infact there were a few tornados here yesterday. Hopefully the weather will improve b/c he wants to take the girls to the park.

Yippee!

I am so excited today because we have 358 days left here in the great state of Illinois. Not only that but we have already determined that we will have to rent this house b/c we will not get what we owe if we sell it. Well yesterday a girl came to pick up some stuff i gave away on freecycle and she fell in love with our house and already asked if she could rent it next year. of course i could not guarantee when we would be leaving but i took down her number. So I am just excited.
Emma is now sleeping in her big girl bed. this was not planned at all actually we were trying to find a second crib. Yesterday I switched around the rooms so the girls have their own rooms well her big girl bed was in her room and around 8 pm I went in expecting to see her playing but no she was fast asleep in her bed. She slept all night long. That is something she never does. Hopefully tonight will be just as good.
Mikayla moved into Emma's old crib last night and didn't do as well. she woke up around 3 am and never went back to sleep.

I feel so lucky today

I know everyone thinks their kids are perfect and I am no exception. To me I couldn't ask for better children. Yes Emma has her moments and she is extremely brave and fearless but really that is what I love about her. She really enjoys life and who can fault her for that. She could go in an empty room and still find a way to have fun.
Mikayla is my laid back child. Who enjoys watching her big sister act crazy. She wants to learn everything all at once like now she has started to sit up and roll over all around the same time. I believe she will be crawling early.
All in all life is good. there is only one thing I would change and that would be where we lived.

Things Mikayla loves

Mikayla Grace is almost 3 weeks old and boy has it been an amazing 3 weeks. I have already found out things she loves and hates. Here are a few of the things she loves.

She loves to cuddle but only certain ways depending on her mood.
She loves her sister even when emma is sitting on top of her.
She loves to eat but not from the bottle
She loves her bouncy but not the swing

Emma is an amazing big sister. I am very surprised about that since she has been by herself with mommy for so long. She will go over and give her kisses when she is crying or toys. She can be rough at times but you can tell she really loves her. I feel so blessed to have two beautiful little girls. sorry no pics but I will write more often and have some new pictures to post.

Lillian update

Today I went in for my 32 week ultrasound. They gave me an ultrasound today because they weren't able to see the brain or kidneys well at the 20 week ultrasound and around this time with Emma I started to leak fluid so they wanted to make sure that wasn't happening again. Lillian looked great. She is 5 lbs and is measuring 35 weeks. I was unable to scan the pictures on the printer but will try to do it again soon.
Emma is also doing really well. I weighed her the other day and she weighed on our scale 19 lbs 8 oz. That is a big difference from what she weighed a few months ago. She is also talking a lot more now. I don't always know what she is saying but she definitely has things to say. She also will repeat what we say. At Applebee's on Tuesday we said thank you to the waitress and Emma did too. It was so cute. I unfortunately have no new pictures to put up here but as soon as our printer works I will put the ultrasound pictures on here so keep an eye out for them.
